New Member Application

To apply for membership please complete the form below. For a two adult household, our database requires one member to be the "primary" member. If there is only one adult who identifies as Jewish in that household, that adult should be the primary member.

Temple Or Rishon welcomes members from varying backgrounds and identities. Please fill out the information as it applies to you and your household. You may always return to update your account in the future if you choose.

This application is for new members to Temple Or Rishon. If you are already a member, please contact the office for assistance in logging on to your account.

Traditionally people are called to the Torah as "ben" (son) or "bat" (daughter), followed by their parent/s' Hebrew names.
Member names, children's names, address, email, and phone number may be included on our community list.
Photographs from community events may be shared internally, as well as on our website and social media pages.

We are a synagogue community that encourages our members to be involved. The skills and participation offered by our members are our strength. Please let us know your skills, interests, and areas of participation.

As is the case with most religious organizations, Temple Or Rishon’s only form of support comes from the financial contributions made by our congregants. Contributions support, among other things, the education of our youth, the service of our Rabbi, our full-time office staff and the maintenance of our buildings. Because we are designated as a charitable organization [IRS section 501c(3)], contributions are typically tax deductible.

Although contributions are absolutely vital for us to exist and grow as a community, we do not want anyone’s personal financial situation to prevent him/her from becoming a part of our congregation. If the contribution levels below pose a substantial burden, please CLICK HERE to complete the dues consideration form. It will be reviewed confidentially.

* An Associate is a household that also holds a full membership at a different synagogue, either locally or elsewhere. Associate members do not have the same privileges as full members. Proof of membership at another synagogue is necessary to receive High Holy Day tickets.
** A Family is considered to be a household with one or more adults and one or more children under the age of 24; all members of the family will receive High Holy Day tickets and all other privileges of membership; however, only the primary member and spouse will have voting privileges.
‡ Guardian Circle Dues options allow you to contribute at a level that reflects a sustaining commitment to Temple Or Rishon.
